The first iPad App launched by Europeana was designed to put you in touch with the collections of the most important cultural institutions. E 'was created by Glimworm IT and is divided into five main themes: Maps and Plans, Treasures of Art, Treasures of the Past, Treasures of Nature and Images of the Past. Every single image in the collection can be commented and shared, thus allowing more people to create a dialogue about the image explored. In addition, once you download the application, the virtual visitor can add and connect to other images of the web, preparing its own personal museum. 350,000 digitized images come from the museum collections of the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Rijksmuseum, dela National Library of Poland, of 'Archeological Museum of Portugal, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Digital Library of the Spanish Ministry of Defence. All images, being of the public domain and having an open license can be used for research, projects, studies and business presentations.

La prima iPad App lanciata da Europeana è stata ideata per mettere in contatto il pubblico con le collezioni delle più importanti istituzioni culturali. E’ stata creata da Glimworm IT e è articolata in cinque tematiche principali: Maps and Plans, Treasures of Art, Treasures of the Past, Treasures of Nature e Images of the Past. Ogni singola immagine della collezione può essere commentata e condivisa, permettendo così a più persone di creare un dialogo relativo all’immagine esplorata. Inoltre, una volta scaricata l’applicazione, il visitatore virtuale può aggiungere e connettersi alle altre immagini del web, elaborando un proprio museo personale. Le 350.000 immagini digitalizzate provengono dalle collezioni museali del Royal Botanic Gardens, dal Rijksmuseum, dalla National Library of Poland, dall’ Archeological Museum of Portugal, dalla Bulgarian Academy of Sciences e dalla Digital Library of the Spanish Ministry of Defence. Tutte le immagini, essendo di demanio pubblico e aventi una licenza aperta, possono essere utilizzate per ricerche, progetti , studi e presentazioni aziendali.
