Abstract
English
As mobile usage increases, more libraries are considering providing mobile services – like applications – to their users. Unfortunately, as many libraries lack the in-house expertise to develop these applications on their own, they have turned to third-party vendors. While this is an understandable solution, it also results in continual costs, and forces libraries to rely on for-profit companies. Libraries should, instead, join together in a common goal to meet this, and other, obstacles in the increasingly digital world. Libraries should focus on internal strengths and continue in the vein of community sharing as next generation services unfold.
Italiano
